SHADOWS FALL Drummer: DIMEBAG Was 'An Absolute Joy To Be Around'

December 8, 2006

SHADOWS FALL drummer Jason Bittner has issued the following message:

"Today marks the two-year anniversary that I was awoken out of a sound sleep at 6:21 in the morning by a friend of mine very concerned that I was 'OK.' I said, 'What the hell are you talking about?! I'm in bed!' Well, it was at that moment that I was informed about what had happened in Ohio, in a club that I had played a few times myself.

"December 8, 2004 marks the day that the great Dimebag Darrell was taken from us. He was an absolute JOY to be around, and he treated EVERYONE with respect!! So from SHADOWS FALL we wish him all the best and may he rest in peace... we lost an IDOL, a friend, and one HELL of a liver!! LITE EM' UP! And let's also not forget 'Mayhem,' who was also taken from us trying to protect the man!!"
